Thanks to mobile devices, we are expected to be available anytime, anywhere – at home or at work – for both professional and personal needs. While work-related calls are more common, it is accepted that personal calls will occasionally happen in the workplace as well, which can be a distraction for others as well as exposing your personal details. While you can leave the office, some workplaces have moved to install private call booths or sound-dampened call stations to help maintain your privacy in the event of a personal call.
  • Data: This is a serious issue for businesses as it can be easily for confidential or sensitive information on a personal device to become compromised. Similarly, you won’t want your private information on your personal device to somehow be accessed by the company you work for. To prevent this, always use secured and/or private data networks and ensure that your workplace has clear guidelines in place to prevent work and personal data issues. In addition, be sure to always lock your phone with a passcode and keep private information password protected.
